With a background working for Comme des Garçons, it’s no surprise that self-taught Parisian designer Simon Porte Jacquemus is famed for his unconventional approach to fashion. Setting up his own self-named label in 2010, over the past five years Jacquemus has grown quite a following for its directional designs, boasting Lady Gaga and numerous international editors, as fans. A particular brand of reformed chaos, Jacquemus’ youthful offering boasts asymmetric shirt dresses, cropped shirts emblazoned with cartoon carrots, boldly striped pencil skirts as well as iconic sundresses with grossly oversized circle patches.
