After choosing your selling plan, you’ll register with Fashionbarnshop and create a Vendor Seller Central account. You can create your account using the email address associated with your Fashionbarnshop customer account, or you can create it using a separate business email address.

Before you create your Vendor Seller Central account, make sure you have the following:

  • Shop Name 
  • Shop address
  • Company Name
  • Company ID/EUID Number
  • VAT/TAX Number
  • Tax information
  • Phone number
  • Bank account and routing number
  • Internationally chargeable credit card

Once you’ve completed seller registration, you’ll have to wait untill your vendor seller account approve then you can access to your Vendor Seller Central account. You can use it to list and price products, manage your inventory, and fulfill customer orders. You can also use tools in Vendor Seller Central to create promotions and coupons, track payments and expenses, and much more. 

Before you start selling, you’ll want to configure your Vendor Seller Central account for your business. Make sure you review, confirm, or adjust the following, as needed:
  • Public seller profile
  • Payment and business information
  • Shipping and returns settings
  • Tax information and settings
  • Notification preferences
  • Login settings
  • User permissions
If you’re the rights owner for an eligible brand, we recommend enrolling it in Fashionbarnshop Brand Registry before you list your products. That makes it easier to associate your products with your brand name. Brand Registry is free and provides sellers with a suite of additional selling benefits and protection tools.

After enrolling your brand:

  • You’ll have greater control over the information on your product detail pages.
  • You’ll be able to access no-cost tools like A+ Content, Stores, Manage Your Experiments, and Brand Analytics, which can help you grow your audience and increase sales.
  • You’ll enjoy automated protections for your brand and access to additional reporting options.

If you’ve shopped in the any online store, you’ll recognize the product detail page. It’s where customers find all relevant information about an item.

When multiple sellers offer the same product, Fashionbarnshop combines their offers on one product detail page to make it easier for customers to find, compare, and purchase items.

Products offered for sale in the Fashionbarnshop store must comply with all laws and regulations, as well as Fashionbarnshop policies. Customer safety is of paramount importance to Fashionbarnshop. We strive to ensure that customers can confidently find a comprehensive selection of relevant products from sellers, without concerns about product safety, quality, or reliability. We also aim to ensure that each qualified seller can offer the appropriate products for sale with real-time approval to sell.

As a Vendor seller, it is crucial to understand and comply with Fashionbarnshop's guidelines and policies on product safety and compliance. Adhering to these guidelines can enhance your success as a Vendor seller and help you avoid practices that could lead to blocked listings or prevent you from selling on Fashionbarnshop.

The primary tool we use to pair a seller’s offer with the correct product detail page is a product ID, also called a Global Trade Item Number (GTIN). It can often be found on packaging above or below the product’s barcode. The most common GTIN used by Fashionbarnshop sellers is a UPC, but you might also find an ISBN, EAN, or JAN on your product.

In some cases, you might need to obtain a GTIN for a product from Global Standards 1. In rare cases, you might apply for a GTIN exemption from Fashionbarnshop.

If the product you want to sell is already listed in the Fashionbarnshop store, you can use the existing GTIN information to fill in the product details. If the product does not yet have a GTIN, you will need to apply for one through the GS1 organization. Once you have obtained the GTIN, you can upload the product for sale. You can also seek assistance from Fashionbarnshop customer service.

Whether you can list a product in the Fashionbarnshop store depends on its category, condition, and brand. In some cases, you may need to apply to sell certain products, categories, or brands. The system will prompt you if an application is necessary during the listing process.

Visit Seller Central to learn how to request approval for a category. If you want to ship orders through Fulfillment by Fashionbarnshop (FBF), be sure to also review specific FBF product restrictions.

Product categories

  • If a product is part of a brand enrolled in Fashionbarnshop Brand Registry, only three types of sellers can create its product detail page using our standard listing processes:
  1. the original rights owner who enrolled the brand
  2. other sellers internal to the brand
  3. resellers who’ve been associated with the brand
  • After a product is listed by one of the above sellers, others sellers can match offers to its product detail page. They may be prompted to complete a brand selling application first.

Before setting prices for your products, consider the external market price to ensure price competitiveness.

  • Competitive External Price: The price at which a product is being sold by other retailers outside of Fashionbarnshop. Monitoring these prices helps ensure your listings remain competitive.

  • Featured Offer: The price of a product highlighted as the preferred or recommended choice on Fashionbarnshop. This is typically the most attractive offer in terms of price, shipping, and seller reputation.

  • Lowest Market Price: The lowest price at which a product is available in the market, including both Fashionbarnshop and other retail platforms. Setting your price close to or below this threshold can improve your product’s visibility and attractiveness to potential buyers.

Setting your shipping options using the advanced listing tool
  1. On the listing page, scroll down to the Shipping section.
  2. From the Shipping method dropdown, select one of the following options:
    • Standard shipping: Small to medium items
    • Freight: Oversized items
    • Local pickup only: Sell to buyers near you
  3. If you choose Standard shipping, open the Cost type dropdown under Domestic shipping, and select either
    • Flat rate: Same cost regardless of buyer location
    • Calculated: Cost varies based on buyer location 

If you choose Flat rate:

  1. If a Primary service is not already pre-selected, select Add primary service. (You can select the three dot menu to change the service.)
  2. Enter your shipping costs under Buyer pays, or select Offer Free shipping under Primary Service.

If you choose Calculated:

  1. Add Package weight and Package dimensions. These details are required as they are used to calculate your shipping costs.  
  2. If Primary service is not pre-selected, select Add primary service. (You can select the three dot menu to change the service.)
    • If you want to cover the costs of shipping, select Offer Free shipping under Primary Service
You have two basic options for getting customers their stuff:
  1. You can fulfill orders yourself, maintaining your own inventory and shipping products directly to customers. We call this merchant-fulfilled shipping (MFN).
  2. You can send your inventory to Fashionbarn and have us pick, pack, and deliver products through Fashionbarn Fulfillment Services (FFS). FFS also takes care of customer service and returns.
Each method has its own benefits—and you can decide which one is right for each product you sell. If you’re a current seller, you can also use our Revenue Calculator to compare estimates for FBF and your own fulfillment method.

Fashionbarn Fulfillment Services (FFS) is a program that allows you to outsource order fulfillment to Fashionbarnshop and offer customers free, two-day shipping. By enrolling in FFS, you can send your products to Fashionbarn’s global network of fulfillment centers. We will handle the picking, packing, and shipping of orders, as well as customer service and returns. FFS is part of a fully automated suite of services we call Supply Chain by Fashionbarn.

There are many ways to send items to your buyers. By offering more than one delivery option, you'll be able to attract different types of buyers.

You can pick which shipping methods you want to offer your buyers when creating your listing. Depending on whether you're using the quick listing tool or advanced listing tool,  you'll do this in slightly different ways:

  1. On the listing page, scroll down to the Shipping section.
  2. Choose whether you want to:
    • Ship your item: You select a fixed cost, or we calculate the cost for you based on package weight and dimensions. You can pay the shipping cost yourself
    • Offer local pickup: Buyers pick up the item from your home or another site of your choosing
    • Offer both options

If you choose to ship your item:

  1. In Ship your item, enter a fixed cost or the package weight and dimensions so we can calculate the cost.
  2. If you're not happy with the recommended shipping service, select Change shipping service to choose another option.
  3. Select the calculated rate, or select the option to charge a fixed amount, then enter the amount. You can also choose to offer free shipping and pay it yourself.

If you offer local pickup, enter the ZIP code for your item location.

You can send your inventory to Fashionbarn and have us pick, pack, and deliver products through Fashionbarn Fulfillment Services (FFS). FFS also takes care of customer service and returns.

If you're eligible for Fashionbarn International Shipping (FIS). it will become your default international shipping option. We'll automatically add Fashionbarn International Shipping to your current listings and manage all overseas shipping, customs and returns.

If you would like to manage international shipping yourself, select See shipping options at the top of the Shipping section, turn on Other shipping services then select Add other shipping services. From the See Shipping options menu you can also turn on and off the following:

  • Autofill shipping details (Allow Package weight/dimensions and carrier to be autofilled based on similar or matching listings)
  • Irregular package (Pack your items in non-rectangular boxes as needed. Additional shipping charges may apply)
  • Local pickup (If the item you're selling is large or difficult to ship, the buyer can collect it in person)
  • Handling cost (Add an additional charge to cover packing and materials)
  • Excluded locations (Set specific locations that you don't want to ship to)

If the item you’re selling is large or difficult to ship, Or " Food and Grocery" limited time delivery item. We offer local pickup and the buyer can collect it in person.

Adding local pickup to your listing

When creating your listing, simply select No shipping: Local pickup only from the dropdown menu in the Shipping details section. Make sure you enter your ZIP code in the item location because it will show on your listing. 

You can also offer local pickup in addition to other shipping options. Check the Offer local pickup box under your shipping options.

Payment options for local pickup

In your payment options, select Pay on pickup and any other payment methods you'd like to accept. You need to offer buyers at least one of the approved electronic payment methods, and you cannot discourage buyers from using any payment method you specified in the listing. 

Arranging pickup

In your item description or checkout instructions, specify when and how the buyer can collect the item. Don't add your full address, just the area will do. You may need to get in touch with them after the listing ends to confirm the details of the pickup.

  • FashionBarnShop Policies:

    1. Familiarize yourself with FashionBarnShop’s specific policies on product listings, shipping, returns, and customer service.
    2. Regularly review updates to the policies to stay informed about any changes or new requirements.
  • Account Health Dashboard:

    1. Use the Account Health dashboard to monitor your adherence to FashionBarnShop’s policies and performance targets.
    2. The dashboard typically provides metrics and feedback on various aspects such as order defect rate, shipping performance, customer feedback, and policy violations.
  • Performance Targets:

    1. Aim to meet or exceed the performance targets set by FashionBarnShop. Common targets include maintaining a low order defect rate, high on-time delivery rate, and positive customer feedback.
    2. Address any issues promptly to prevent potential account suspensions or penalties.
  • Customer Service:

    1. Provide excellent customer service, including prompt responses to customer inquiries and resolving issues efficiently.
    2. Ensure accurate product descriptions and images to avoid customer dissatisfaction and returns.
  • Quality Assurance:

    1. Regularly inspect your products for quality to ensure they meet customer expectations and FashionBarnShop’s standards.
    2. Implement a quality control process to catch and resolve issues before products are shipped to customers.
  • Documentation and Record-Keeping:

    1. Keep thorough records of your transactions, communications, and compliance efforts.
    2. This documentation can be crucial in resolving disputes and demonstrating compliance with laws and policies.
  • Account Health Rating:
    1. We provide sellers an overview of their compliance with key Fashionbarnshop selling policies, including our intellectual-property, authenticity, listing, and restricted-product policies. To maintain a ‘Good’ rating, make sure to address any policy violations listed on your Account Health dashboard. If your rating is ‘At Risk’ or ‘Critical’, your account may be at risk of deactivation.
  • Shipping Performance:
    To assess the health of your MFN shipping performance, focus on these three metrics:
  • Late Shipment Rate (LSR)

    • Definition: Percentage of seller-fulfilled orders with a shipping confirmation after the expected shipping date.
    • Target: Keep below 4%.
  • Pre-fulfillment Cancel Rate (CR)

    • Definition: Percentage of seller-fulfilled orders you cancel before shipment.

    • Sponsored Products Ads: Feature a single product in ads that appear in, alongside, and above customer search results.
    • Sponsored Brands Ads: Highlight up to three products, along with your logo and a headline. Alternatively, create an auto-playing video ad for a single product. These ads appear prominently above, alongside, and below search results.
